The Western State Law Review, ISSN 0362-8892, is published twice each year and is also available online via LexisNexis, Westlaw, and HeinOnline, Digital Commons and is indexed with the Index to Legal Periodicals and Legal Trac.

The Western State Law Review operates as a traditional, student-edited law review at Western State College of Law, and is a member of the National Conference of Law Reviews. The Western State Law Review publishes articles focused on California law and Federal law that directly impacts the state of California.

The Western State Law Review does not necessarily subscribe to the viewpoints that are contained in the journal. All works are chosen on the basis of the level of scholarly presentation of legal issues and usefulness to the legal community.

The Western State Law Review Association continues to thank the Western State College of Law for the support we receive for each publication from the Faculty Advisors, Faculty Mentors and Staff.
The Western State Law Review Association also appreciates the ongoing support that we receive from our subscribers, local attorneys, judges, business, and friends.


The annual subscription rate is $30.00. The annual rate for Western State College of Law students and alumni is $27.00. (Rates are subject to change at any time.)
If you pay via PayPal, subscriptions are automatically renewed yearly unless a request for discontinuance is received.

The Law Review appreciates all contributions. Donors receive recognition in that annual publication’s sponsorship page at contribution levels of $50, $100, $200, $300, and $500+ as well as on our website Donor page.

The Law Review invites the submission of unsolicited manuscripts. Citations in manuscripts should follow the form prescribed in The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation.  Manuscripts may be returned only if a self addressed, postage prepaid envelope is submitted with the manuscript. We encourage electronic Submissions. Please see our Submissions page for more details.

Legal Advertising

The Law Review accepts a limited number of legal advertisements for each issue. Such advertisements are limited to material we believe may be of scholarly interest to our subscribers.
